HAND THERAPY

Hand Therapy is the specialized art and science of rehabilitation of the shoulder, arm, and hand. As an Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist, I have seven years of experience providing skilled and individualized hand therapy services.

Hand therapy treatment focuses on any condition of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder including:

  • Orthopedic and Repetitive Stress disorders such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis, trigger finger, tennis/golfer’s elbow
  • Traumatic Injury – Fractures, sprains, and strains of the upper extremity
  • Arthritis and degenerative disorders
  • Neurological Injuries such as Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Post stroke conditions, Spinal cord injuries

I work closely with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes following surgical procedures and provide individualized treatment plans to address your situation and meet your goals. Treatment may include custom splinting, injury-specific exercise programs, soft tissue massage or mobilization, wound care, and functional activities or modifications.
